International Food Futurists Promote Awareness of World Food Needs

The International Food Futurists™ is an organization formed in 1997 specifically to promote the public awareness of the necessity to plan for the present and future uses of food to meet the needs and desires of the world population. A big part of that mission includes providing information about food trends, as we do at The Food Channel®.

Here is a quick recap of just some of the stories we have done over the past year that apply to this mission:

Food is the new Oil

COEX 2008

Economic Stimulus and Food

Plant a Fruit Tree for Earth Day

The Big Give

Chef’s Picks

Loans to Growers

Keeping Food Safe

Food Show Gives to City Harvest

Food Safety Education Videos Available

Poll: Tainted Food

Storing for the Winter

Eating Locally for Sustainability

In addition, many of our Hot & Cool Trends give you information about global food needs and responsiveness. We also bring you health alerts, and wrap up a lot of this information in each issue of TrendWire.

Stay tuned, too, for our year end report brought to you with the assistance of the International Food Futurists.

We take seriously our commitment to keep alive the conversation about food needs in the future. In this present economy, it is more important than ever.
