Make candied orange peel and then use the oranges to make this easy gift.

Why Try? This refrigerator jam is like spreading fresh oranges on your morning toast!
Note: if you have more oranges, just increase by 1 tablespoon water per orange and 1/2 cup sugar per orange.

Because the marmalade does not go through a water bath, this needs to be stored in the refrigerator and used within about a month.

Ingredients

  • 3 oranges, peeled
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

Preparation

  • 1 Cut oranges into pieces and put all ingredients in a blender or food processer. Mix briefly until slightly foamy and you have a puree.
  • 2 Pour into a saucepan and bring mixture to a boil. Let it boil for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool and pour into clean glass jars and cover. Store in refrigerator.
