Ingredients

Cocktail Recipe

  • 1.5 ounces Blanco Tequila
  • 0.5 ounces Galliano Ristretto Coffee Liqueur
  • 6 ounces Cold Hot Chocolate - Recipe Below

Cold Hot Chocolate

  • 23 grams Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate (1 packet)
  • 6 ounces Water
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 4 Cloves, whole
  • 2 Long peppers
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika

Preparation

Cold Hot Chocolate

  • 1 Crack and toast dry spices in a dry saucepan over medium-high heat until aromatic. Do NOT grind the spices as the flavor will over extend.
  • 2 Add water and bring to a boil. Lower heat and add hot chocolate mix.
  • 3 Stir, bringing mixture back to a low simmer.
  • 4 Turn off heat, allow to cool (don't allow the spices to steep too long however), then pour through a mesh strainer to remove any graininess from the spices.
  • 5 Bottle and chill.

Cocktail Preparation

  • 1 Build drink in ice-filled Collins glass.
  • 2 Top with fresh whipped cream and cinnamon.
