Just in time for another arctic blast, Irish Coffee to the rescue. According to Mobile Cuisine, this drink was created by an Irish chef to warm the passengers of a delayed flight to Newfoundland. In the original recipe, Irish Whiskey was added to regular brewed coffee.

No matter how it came to be, it’s become a perennial favorite, especially in cold weather. As I look at snow coming down outside, here are some Irish Coffee recipes to warm you up.

Classic Irish Coffee

This classic Irish coffee stays true to the original recipe first served at the Shannon International Airport in Ireland to warm passengers on a delayed flight.
