Fresh Peach Sweet Tea

Mid to late summer when the peaches are in season it’s time to make icy-cold peach sweet tea!

For this Southern sweet tea recipe, we used a simple syrup infused with sweet ripe peaches to flavor our fresh brewed tea.

Serve in tall glasses over ice, find a porch and relax.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 4 cups cold water
  • As needed fresh peach slices for garnish


  • 1 Combine sugar, water and peaches in saucepan; bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer for 5 minute, stirring frequently with a spoon to dissolve sugar and macerate peach slices. Remove from heat, cover and let steep for 20 minutes. Pour cooled mixture through a strainer. Reserve peach simple syrup.
  • 2 Add tea bags to boiling water. Remove from heat and steep for 5 minutes; remove tea bags. Add cold water. Add simple syrup to desired sweetness. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • 3 Serve peach sweet tea over ice. Garnish with peach slices, if desired.
