Marsala Tea

This hot tea is made with milk and spices – cinnamon, cardamom and clove – and four tea bags.  Add a little sugar and settle down with a good book.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups fresh milk
  • 4 tea bags black tea
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • pinch of cardamom
  • pinch of clove, ground
  • 1/4 cup sugar (optional)

Preparation

  • 1 In a saucepan, boil 2 - 3 cups fresh milk.
  • 2 Add 4 tea bags with a pinch of cinnamon, cardamom and clove.
  • 3 Optionally add 1/4 cup sugar, and let simmer until you get deep brown color.
  • 4 Strain and serve hot.
