Kisaburo Farm in Tokyo was by far the coolest experience and a must visit for any egg lovers. They specialize in tamago kake gohan with incredibly unique eggs sourced from local farms throughout Japan. My favorite was the yuzu tamago from the Yamasaki Farm in the Kochi prefecture. Their hens are fed on a specialized feed enriched with yuzu peel that gives the yolks both a distinct scent and flavor like you’ve never experienced. Wild!
