The process begins by pouring a cup of boiling water into a device called a "shot caller." A packet of gelatin is added to the water and stirred until dissolved. A cup of vodka is measured and added to the mixture. The device is used to fill the glasses by pressing it down firmly. The shots are then placed in the refrigerator for six and a half hours to set.
