Biodegradable Bagasse Means Guilt Free Ease

I really hope this is a product that will catch on; and, the quicker the better. These plates, cups and bowls from Branch are 100% biodegradable. They are made in China from a compostable sugar cane fiber (bagasse) that is a byproduct of the sugar refining process. And, they say the supply of this bagasse is virtually unlimited worldwide.

The products are microwavable and freezer safe. After use, they can be recycled or composted. They may even leap over tall buildings in a single bound! Even if not, I’m sold.

I don’t know about you, but I’m really starting to feel guilty about throwing away anything that resembles styrofoam or plastic, or even cardboard. My husband thinks I’ve really gone off the deep end, but the more I read and see about the amount of non-biodegradable stuff we continue to toss, it really bothers me! We all need to do our part to recycle and reuse. Every little bit helps.
