How would you like to own a one-of-a kind lunchbox created by Cameron Diaz…or Martha Stewart? Going on now in cyberspace is a star-studded charity auction featuring the lunchbox creations of celebrities from the entertainment, fashion, music, art, and culinary fields— all to benefit hunger relief.
Celebs from R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe to players from the New York Giants to author Salman Rusdie have contributed lunchpail creations for the auction which continues online through noon EST on December 18.
The website is thelunchboxauction.org, where you can browse and bid on the lunchbox designs of Mario Batali, the Beastie Boys, Gwyneth Paltrow, David Chang, Tom Colicchio, the cast of ‘Gossip Girl,’ Rachael Ray, Eva Mendes, Mike Myers, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler, Diane Von Furstenberg and many others.
Each lunchbox is numbered and signed. No two are alike, according to the auction website. The auction is hosted by the New York City Food Bank and the Lunchbox Fund, which provides hunger relief to children of South Africa.
