Whatever you are eating these days, there is a big chance that it came in a to-go box. While the users of The Food Channel skew slightly higher for meals made at home, the home-cooked meal is more luxury than the norm. A survey conducted by the Restaurant Association and reported by MSNBC says that 80 percent of those surveyed say that “going out to a restaurant is a better way to use their leisure time than cooking and cleaning up.”

In addition, more of the to-go boxes contain something healthy. Maybe even gourmet. We want our cake delivered, and we want it low fat.

The survey also found that, “57 percent of consumers would use delivery to their home or office if more restaurants offered it.”

There you go, eating on the run again. Or is the runner coming to you?
