Oprah Tries Vegan Diet

Inspired by spiritual counselor Kathy Freston’s (right) book Quantum Wellness: A Practical and Spiritual Guide to Health and Happiness, talk show host and trendsetter Oprah Winfrey has started a 21-day vegan “cleanse diet,” she announced on her blog.

Oprah is aiming to eliminate animal products, gluten, caffeine, sugar and alcohol on the diet.

“How can you say you’re trying to spiritually evolve without even a thought about what happens to the animals whose lives are sacrificed in the name of gluttony?” she wrote on her blog. “Don’t know if I’m going to feel better or worse, but I’m willing to try to see if my body at least feels differently.”
