There is some huge news for the restaurant industry in the new Tobidasu Menu (pop-up menu) made by TEC Japan and reported by CScout. It is highly interactive and could eliminate crayons and white drawing paper on the tables forever!
The table, meant for restaurant use, has a built-in 3-D LCD screen that lets you browse menu choices, select each item using the touch-screen, and then virtually see what will be placed in front of you. It looks good enough to taste!
This looks like an emerging trend, but combine it with other table tech under development and it’s not so very far out.
