A new flavor of Coke hit the shelves in Japan last week: Coca-Cola Plus Green Tea flavor. It contains green tea extracts and zero calories.

The target market for the new beverage is said to be ‘health conscious’ women in their 20s and 30s. The new Coke boasts tea antioxidants called ‘catechins.’ Coca-Cola Japan spokesperson Katsuya Sato says the drink leaves a slight green tea aftertaste.

Not to be outdone, Pepsi will soon launch its own new cola in Japan later this month: ‘Pepsi Shiso’ (Did Snoop Dogg name this?). The green colored beverage is a basil-flavored cola.

No word yet on whether these new greenish-flavored colas will reach American shores.
