The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and Nation’s Restaurant News, along with founding sponsor, The Coca-Cola Company, have announced that nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 SPIRIT Awards program.
Now in its fifth year, the SPIRIT Awards honor restaurant and foodservice companies that have proven their dedication to their workforce through exceptional recruitment, training, retention and recognition programs.
Award winners are thought leaders in best practices which prove that improved guest satisfaction is a direct result of improved employee satisfaction. The deadline for this year’s SPIRIT Awards nominations is June 12, 2009.
‘Now more than ever before, having the right people on your team, keeping them motivated and recognizing them for going the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service is crucial to the success of restaurant companies,’ said Tom Larranaga, publisher of Nation’s Restaurant News. ‘That is what the SPIRIT Awards are all about –recognizing operators who have had great success in recruiting, training and motivating employees.
The SPIRIT Awards are open to any commercial, on-site, independent, corporate and franchise foodservice/restaurant company, in any service format, regardless of size. One winner will be chosen in each of the following four categories: quick service, full service, fine dining, and on-site.
