Lots of recipe contests are starting to heat up this summer. Now we’ve discovered three more competitions you might want to jump in on.
1. How Do You Top Your Dog?
How do you like your hot dog topped? Did you know that between Memorial Day and Labor Day Americans will eat more than 7 billion hot dogs? That’s with more than 150 billion consumed on July 4th alone (not including the several dozen that Kobiyashi will down in the Nathan’s Famous contest).
Anyway…the people from Oscar Mayer are looking for America’s â€˜Best Dressed Dog.â€™ They ask that you submit a photo showcasing how you top Oscar Mayer Jumbo Beef Franks along with your best hot dog memory via hotdoggerblog.com. One â€˜lucky dogâ€™ gets a Labor Day grill-out with the Wienermobile and more.
2. Celebrating Cooks Who Bring Smiles…
French’s Foods, a division of Reckitt Benckiser Inc., has announced the launch of its first-ever LIVE National Cook-Off, a contest designed to celebrate home chefs who bring smiles to their families with time-saving, great tasting recipes.
Contestants are encouraged to submit a favorite family recipe featuring at least one French’s product from among the company’s iconic brands that include French’sÂ® Mustard, French’sÂ® French Fried Onions and French’sÂ® Worcestershire Sauce.
The contest includes an online voting element and a LIVE Cook-Off in New York City, where five finalists will compete for a $25,000 Grand Prize and a six-month supply of French’s products.
In addition to including at least one of the French’s products listed above, the recipes must be original and created by the submitter, must include no more than 8 total ingredients, and be able to be prepared and ready to serve in one hour or less.

3. Lunch 2.0 Blogger Recipe Contest from ZESPRI Kiwifruit
ZESPRI Kiwifruit wants to inspire blogger moms to make kiwifruit part of the lunchbox rotation for back to school this fallâ€”joining the old standbys: bananas, apples and oranges. ZESPRI is asking people to create their most imaginative and packable lunch recipe using kiwifruit, then to take a photo and post it on their blog. A semi-finalist will be chosen each Friday from now until August 7, 2009. You may enter more than one recipe. The six semi-finalists will compete for the Grand Prize of $2,500.
