ACF Inks Partnership with French's Foodservice

French’s Foodservice has signed a three-year partnership with the American Culinary Federation, to support the Chef & Child Foundation. Sponsorships such as monthly nutrition articles from ACF and Clemson University, as well as a fundraising opportunity allowing ACF members to use their purchases to give back to the foundation, are part of the partnership.

‘The Chef and Child Foundation is a great organization that works through ACF chef members to educate kids about proper nutrition and eating healthy,’ said Jo’el Ellis, senior brand manager for French’s. ‘French’s Foodservice wants to help support these efforts, so we’ve partnered with ACF to help make a difference. We’ve built our reputation on taking care of our customers, so they can take care of theirs — this is just another way for us to do that.’

The nutrition-focused articles started in April with Sweeteners Exposed and Omega-3s in May. These articles are created to provide nutrition information on a variety of topics. Future articles will be posted on the Culinary Nutrition News section of the ACF website.

‘We are honored to have French’s Foodservice come alongside the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Chef & Child Foundation and join our fight against childhood hunger, malnutrition and obesity,’ said Ira Fingerman, Chef & Child Foundation committee vice chair.

‘As our first-ever sponsor, French’s Foodservice will support the Chef & Child Foundation’s many initiatives throughout the country, which are aimed at educating America’s children about healthy cooking. They are investing in a healthier tomorrow for all children and are helping bring awareness to the rise in rates of obesity and chronic diseases among children,’ added Fingerman.
