The top five finalists have been chosen to compete in the 1st Âever French’s LIVE National Cook-Off! Hailing from all over the U.S., the contestants will be flown to New York City in late February where they will vie for the coveted $25,000 Grand Prize!
The Top Five finalists selected from over 2,500 entries are: Heather Beedle of Curlew, WA; Carolyn Beal of Lutz, FL; Suellen Calhoun of Des Moines, IA; Mary Lund of Circle Pines, MN; and Erin Renouf Mylroie of Santa Clara, UT.
The French’s Cook-Off was designed to celebrate home chefs who bring smiles to their friends and families with time-saving, great tasting recipes. All of the original entries were required to include at least one French’s product, use no more than eight ingredients, and be prepared and ready to
serve in an hour or less.
Four of the Top Five finalists were selected for advancement by the French’s judging panel. One, Erin Renouf Mylroie, was selected as the “People’sChoice” candidate, with her recipe for Cheery-Cherry Chicken with Crispy Onion Grits winning the popular online vote by consumers nationwide.
The LIVE Cook-Off will take place on Thursday, February 25, and will be hosted by David Rosengarten, of Food Network fame. He will be joined by Jackie Plant of Woman’s Day magazine, Heather Meininger, founder of the popular mommy blog, MommiesNetwork.org, Aileen Gallagher of the esteemed food blog GrubStreet, Chandra Turner, executive editor of Parents magazine, Pat Mullooly of Newsday Kids and Janet Andreas, the Culinary Manager of the French’s Test Kitchen.
