Food Channel Video Series Up for Tasty Award


  The Food Channel has been nominated for a Tasty Award in the category of “Best Drink or Beverage Program: Web” for its Mixology video series, hosted by Chef Dennis Pitchford. The 2nd Annual TASTY AWARDS are billed as “the premier awards show celebrating the year’s best in Food, Fashion, and Home Lifestyle programs on Television, in Film, and Online.”

The awards show will be take place at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., this Thursday, January 13, in a two-hour red carpet event.

“We are, of course, thrilled that our work is being recognized,” said Kay Logsdon, editor in chief of The Food Channel. “What makes it even better is that we have a number of new series in the works that are of similar excellent quality. We look forward to people finding our programming on, as well as through mobile apps and Internet-enabled TVs.”

The Mixology video series was shot in The Food Channel Test Kitchens with Chef Dennis Pitchford, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. All recipes and videos from the series can be found on The Food Channel.
