McCormick For Chefs™–Food Away From Home division of McCormick & Company has earned the overall 2010 Supplier of the Year Award from Ben E. Keith Foods, a leading broadline foodservice distributor.

Criteria established for the award is based on how a company works with Ben E. Keith to support its marketing efforts and all six company divisions, solid broker representation, participation in food shows and sales meetings, training and tools for the sales force, on-time delivery of products, ability to drive overall performance and results, and other key factors.

For 27 years Ben E. Keith has recognized its supplier partners with a top overall award and category awards. McCormick also won the 2010 Grocery Supplier of the Year category, marking the fifth year in a row.

Ben E. Keith, the nation’s eighth largest broadline foodservice distributor with 4,000 employees, chose nine winners in six categories from among its top suppliers. Eligible suppliers are qualified by a scorecard based on past year performance and winners are chosen by divisional and corporate management. Previous honorees include Tyson Foods, Ventura Foods and Georgia-Pacific.
