Residents and visitors to Chicago will soon have a new restaurant guide to help them make their dining out choices in The Windy City. Not just any old restaurant guide, mind you, but the esteemed Michelin guide. For those who love to dine out, it’s an excellent tool. For those in the culinary arts, it’s a star-making opportunity.
Every chef and restaurateur aspires to be recognized for culinary excellence, and one of the most sought-after acclaims is a listing in the prestigious Michelin guide. Restaurants and hotels in Chicago now have that opportunity; the famous dining guide announced it would publish “Michelin Guide Chicago 2011” this fall.
Guests at the launch party held this week at the Chicago Cultural Center included Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, chef/restaurateur Rick Bayless … and the National Restaurant Association.
