Recipes for Your SATC-2 Girls Night Out

With the summer’s hottest chick flick now in theaters, Sex And The City fans will be planning their outrageous girl’s night out. Cocktails, cocktail dresses, and stilettos will set the stage for the evening.

We’ve seen lots of official tie-ins to the movie sequel, including a Chrysler convertible ad and cosmetics by Sarah Jessica Parker. We also found some “unofficial” but inspired food and drink ideas in our email in-basket and decided we’d pass them along to you ready-to-party ladies out there.

Girls Night Out cocktail recipes from Rosangel…

Rosangel Tequila wanted to get into the act in an unofficial way and sent us some FABulous cocktail recipes based on the personalities of the SATC fabulous foursome.

Oh, by the way, the Rosangel people claim these cocktails are all low in calories.

There’s a chic-with-a-twist Don’t Get Carrie’d Away Champagne cocktail, a serious Margarita that shows Miranda knows how to balance work and play, a Sangria recipe for ‘hostess with the mostest’ Charlotte, and a sexy Samantha-inspired Tequila Sunrise.

…and loaded dessert by Cake Buzz

Après dinner and the movie, perhaps it’s time for more booze—in decadent dessert form! At least that’s the suggestion from Cake Buzz, where they bake your favorite cocktails into a cake. Sean Allen, the ‘cake bartender’ says he can create a scrumptious custom-made cake from any desired liqueur or drink mix.

Some of the company’s top selling cocktail cakes that Allen suggests for this themed event include: the cosmopolitan, raspberry pomegranate, raspberry pomegranate-white Godiva chocolate, and key lime pie martini. All are made with 1½ cups of your choice of spirit or liqueur. I guess they don’t call it ‘Cake Buzz’ for nothing! It could be the perfect sweet ending to a FABulous Sex & The City party.

Have fun ladies, enjoy the movie, have a lovely dinner, drinks and dessert, but be sure to party responsibly.

Better yet, get around town like the girls do: by taxicab.
