Fizzy Lizzy Introduces Tangerine Passion

Fizzy Lizzy, winner of two sofi Silver Awards at the 2007 Summer Fancy Food Show (for “Outstanding Product Line” and “Outstanding Cold Beverage”) has introduced its first new flavor in two years: Tangerine Passion Fruit. The announcement was made by company founder and president, Liz Morrill. The new flavor is being sampled at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco this week.

Tangerine Passion Fruit is seventh in the line of existing flavors of Fizzy Lizzy. Established in Morrill’s New York City walkup apartment in 2000, each flavor of Fizzy Lizzy is a blend all-naturalfruit juice and sparkling water with no added sugars and 65% juice (on average). Every bottle of Fizzy Lizzy contains 100% of the RDI for vitamin C.

“We used to have a passion fruit flavor but discontinued it several years ago in an effort to streamline our operations,“ said Morrill. “Ever since then we’ve gotten a torrent of requests from consumers to bring it back. In our test kitchen this time we decided to blend the passion fruit juice with some tangerine for a taste that is not only more refreshing but also more complex. No other beverage company in the universecurrently offers a tangerine passion fruit drink.”

Fizzy Lizzy’s other flavors are Cranberry, Grapefruit, Pineapple, Yakima Grape, Fuji Apple and Raspberry Lemon. The brand represents a healthful alternative to fattening sodas and to overly-sugary 100% juices. Fizzy Lizzy is available in gourmet markets across the country, including BevMo! and Target and select regions of Whole Foods. For more information, visit
