Q: I found out a friend loves meatloaf, so I would like to make some small meatloaves and freeze them so they would have meal ready when they want. Would I want to cook the small meatloaf then freeze or should I just mix the meatloaf and make into small loaves and freeze raw?

A: What a thoughtful gesture! Meatloaf can be frozen either fully cooked and cooled or raw ready to bake. Wrap each meatloaf tightly to prevent freezer burn or contamination from raw meat. Whichever method you use, be sure to defrost meat loaf thoroughly in refrigerator before baking or reheating. I love the aroma of fresh baked meatloaf but some people prefer the convenience of simply reheating meatloaf to serve. Whichever method you use, be sure to include simple cook time and temperature directions for easy prep.
