Bar Dupont Tips its Hat (and a Cocktail) to Mad Men

Are you one of the many foodies (well, beverage foodies, anyway) who is ready for the start of the fifth season of Mad Men? Well, restaurants and bars all over are capitalizing on the popularity of the series and helping transport you back in time to the Mad Men era. Case in point is Bar Dupont in Washington, D.C. If you find yourself there, just slip on the fedora and head over to toast the premier with a Don Draper specialty cocktail with Ron Zacapa Centenario, Coffee-infused Sweet Vermouth, Apricot Brandy, and semi sundried Pineapple Syrup. The special begins just in time for the premiere weekend, March 23, and will be available throughout the  season. (Hint: during the premiere on Sunday, March 25, the libation will be specially priced).

Bar Dupont is also showcasing its new spring cocktail menu, what it calls “a perfect toast to the era of liquid lunches.” The Bar has been newly renovated and claims to be “just the type of place Don Draper himself would be found enjoying a liquid lunch or after work cocktails.”

Bar Dupont is located at 1500 New Hampshire Avenue in Washington, D.C.

Say hello to Don if you see him there.
