Cupcake lovers in Los Angeles area can now satisfy their cravings any time of day or night thanks to a new cupcake ATM opened up by Sprinkles, the popular L.A.-based bakery chain often credited with starting the whole cupcake craze a few years back.
The 24-Hour-Sprinkles in Beverly Hills appears to be modeled after an old-school automatic teller machine, all done up in a bright pink color. It will dispense cupcakes all day long and in the middle of the night, 24-7.
Sprinkles engineer Vineet Chaplot was on site for the machine’s launch to make sure the cupcake automat was operating properly. He pointed out that behind the machine’s bright metal grates, you could see hundreds of freshly-made, individually boxed cupcakes ready for the day.
According to a spokesperson for Sprinkles, the ATM soon will also offer Sprinkles cupcake mixes, apparel and dog treats.
Here’s a video from the Huffington Post showing how this cupcake contraption works.
