New Yorkers who love to grab great food from those roving gourmet food trucks—but who hate to stand in line—have a new resource that may help them solve this dinnertime dilemma.
A brand new service called FoodToEat.com lets customers cut to the head of the line, get their grub and go! It’s Manhattan’s newest food pickup and delivery website that features 40 food carts and trucks (in addition to more than 350 restaurants around Gotham).
Through the use of GPRS printers, the website automatically routes orders to street vendors and restaurants, allowing them to easily keep track of online customers alongside their traditional walk-up clientele. The site provides the ability for customers to skip the line for pickup orders, grab their food and go, which eliminates the need to stand on line in the cold winter months.
“What sets us from other sites is that we’re the only online option to place pickup and delivery orders from New York City’s top food carts and trucks, so I wanted to create a promotion that celebrates this unique offering,” says FoodToEat.com CEO and founder Deepti Sharma Kapur.
To celebrate the launch of the site on February 22, FoodToEat.com rounded up 24 restaurants, food trucks and carts to offer special giveaways on that day. Food trucks including Coolhaus, Valducci’s, Uncle Gussy’s, Big D’s Grub Truck and Eggstravaganza are among those participating in the kickoff promotion. In addition are 19 participating restaurants including Alphabet Café, Americas Burgers and Wraps, Indigo, Lychee House and Calista.
In addition to the February 22nd promotion, 50 restaurants will offer discounts from 5%-20% exclusively to FoodToEat.com customers. Information regarding these deals can be found on the site.
