The 58th Summer Fancy Food Show is underway at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The largest marketplace for specialty foods and beverages in the North runs through tomorrow with 2,250 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and regions.
On opening day yesterday, the mood was positive: “The Fancy Food Show has the quality of buyers we’re looking for,” says first-time exhibitor Kelly Nye of Nye’s Cream Sandwich. “We’re looking to expand our distribution beyond the Wilmington, N.C. area and so far everyone we’ve seen here has liked our ice cream sandwich’s taste and packaging.”
The Show floor features ongoing events such as the Chef Demo Theater, co-presented by NASFT, the Fancy Food Show’s owner, and The Cooking Channel, where chefs and culinary experts will demo recipes and cooking techniques throughout the Show.
