There's A Day Designated for Drinking Beer?

You betcha. There is, indeed, a National Drink Beer Day: September 28. I sense that many are probably already celebrating, but wanted to offer some fun facts about beer from our friends at

First of all, beer is the favorite drink ordered at bars, especially when meeting friends (36 percent), followed by margaritas (17 percent) and wines (13 percent). Cosmos, and gin and tonic complete the fab five. Carrie Bradshaw would be proud.

When it comes to domestic versus international varieties, almost two-thirds prefer domestic. And the most beer loving states in America? Drum-roll, please:

  1. Massachusetts
  2. Missouri (trust me, we’ve done our part)
  3. Wisconsin
  4. Oklahoma
  5. Arizona
  6. New Jersey
  7. Virginia
  8. Maryland
  9. New York
  10. Colorado
