A Toast To The End of Summer


The Labor Day holiday signals a shift to Fall in the United States and we’re sending Summer off with these fabulous cocktail recipes.

A Celebrity Sendoff

These recipes are shared by celebrity caterer Andrea Correale, founder and CEO of Elegant Affairs. In her 20 years of catering events she’s served the likes of Mariah Carey, Billy Joel, Jimmy Fallon and Liam Neeson, to name a few.

French Rosé Sangria

  • 1 bottle Lillet Rosé Wine
  • 3 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 5 oz. club soda
  • 2 oz. fresh raspberries
  • 1 mint sprig
  • Optional: Edible flower petals (for garnish)


  • Pour each of the above into a tall bar glass.
  • Shake with ice, pour into a cocktail or martini glass, and serve.

Grapefruit Collins

  • 2 oz. Gin
  • ½ oz. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ oz. fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • 3 oz. of Pellegrino sparkling water
  • Grapefruit zest
  • Mint leaves


  • Rim glass with grapefruit wedge and dip into salt and grapefruit zest mixture.
  • Add Gin, lemon juice, grapefruit juice and simple syrup to a martini shaker with ice, shake well, and strain into glass.
  • Add Pellegrino sparkling water and stir.
  • Garnish with grapefruit zest and mint leaves.

Citrus-Basil Spiked Sweet Tea

Citrus basil spiked sweet tea made with water, tea, sugar, lemons, oranges, rum and basil.

  • 8 cups water
  • 7 black tea bags
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • Juice from 2 lemons
  • Juice from 2 oranges
  • 1 cup high-proof golden rum
  • Lots of fresh basil leaves, left intact


  • Bring half of the water to boil and add your tea bags; steep them for about 5 minutes, and remove.
  • Add the sugar and stir the tea until it’s dissolved.
  • Transfer the tea to a pitcher and stir in your lemon and orange juice and the rum.
  • Add some fresh basil leaves and chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • Serve in a tall glass over ice with fresh orange and lemon wedges with fresh basil leaves.

The Razzle-Dazzle

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 oz. raspberry vodka
  • 1/2 teaspoon simple syrup
  • Champagne
  • 2 raspberries


  • Pour the lemon juice, vodka, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  • Shake well, strain into a champagne flute and top with champagne and garnish with a raspberry.

Spicy Strawberry Moji-Tea

Spicy strawberry moji-tea made with tea, honey strawberry acai iced green tea, jalapeno tequila, prosecco, mint and strawberry.

  • 4 oz. Lipton Tea & Honey Strawberry Acai Decaf Iced Green Tea
  • 1 oz. Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila
  • Prosecco
  • Mint leaves
  • Strawberries


  • Muddle mint and strawberries in a shaker.
  • Add the iced tea, tequila and ice in a shaker.
  • Strain into a glass.
  • Top with Prosecco and serve.

Ending With A Splash Of Red

Raspberry Lemon & Lime Ginger Beer Champagne

  • 1/3 oz. Raspberry Puree
  • 1.5 oz. Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer Mini, Lemon/Lime
  • Splash of Limoncello
  • 4 oz. Champagne
  • Squeeze of Lime Juice
  • Fresh Raspberries


  • Stir raspberry puree, Brooklyn Crafted and Limoncello in a champagne flute. Top with champagne and a squeeze of lime juice. Garnish with raspberries.

Champagne Ginger Beer Punch

  • 1.5 oz. Handcrafted Peach Vodka
  • 3.5 oz. Brooklyn Crafted Mango Ginger Beer Mini


  • Fill with a glass with ice and pour in vodka and Brooklyn Crafted and stir.

Flor Adora

  • 0.75 oz. lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz. Small Hand Foods raspberry gum syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Plymouth gin
  • 4 oz. Bruce Cost Ginger Ale Original


  • Combine all ingredients in a glass with ice, garnish as desired.
