The brand is launching a national sweepstakes today, in which 100 people will have the chance to win a $500 cash prize – with the hopes each will extend the holiday and raise a toast to Uncle Sam by taking the 5th and 6th off, too.

It’s a drudge when a holiday falls mid-week. What to do? It’s so difficult to concentrate when you’ve had a day to celebrate with friends and family, then return to work. Our friends at Smirnoff feel your pain. Being America’s birthday, they believe July 4th is one of our greatest holidays – and that you deserve some extra time for some extra fun. How To Qualify

Qualifying couldn’t be easier: Sound off on social media (specifically Facebook and Instagram – links below) about where you’d rather be than work on the 5th and 6th – because we know the answer’s not “in the office.” By commenting on the contest post on the @SmirnoffUS Facebook and Instagram pages, you’ll be entered for the chance to get a stipend from Smirnoff Ice. The intent being to cover the extra two days off, so you can take your celebration right where it should be – into the next weekend.
