She says, “When most people envision Mom in the kitchen, they don’t visualize her in a TV studio kitchen. But that’s how I remember my mom making these brownies. She was a woman ahead of her time in the 1960s, writing and producing a kid’s TV show that ran for 26 years. The recipe was from a segment called Food Fun on The Children’s Hour.”

- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 Preheat over to 350 degrees. (Melt butter in the baking pan while oven is preheating.)
- 2 Mix sugar and cocoa.
- 3 Add eggs.
- 4 Stir in flour.
- 5 Stir in vanilla and melted butter and mix well.
- 6 Pour in greased 8 x 8" baking pan and bake for 30 minutes.
