Bacon Onion Burgers

Meet my BFF BOB, the juiciest most flavorful bacon onion burger ever!  Just the simple trick of browning the onions and adding them to the ground beef prior to cooking will bring your burger expertise to a new level!  Lovers of bacon burgers will be over the moon finding crispy bacon in every bite!


  • 5 slices bacon, finely chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 1/3 pounds lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 burger bun of choice


  • 1 In a medium frying pan crisp bacon over medium heat and drain on paper towel.
  • 2 Drain bacon fat from pan.
  • 3 Sauté onion in the same pan until softened and browned.
  • 4 Combine ground beef, onions, bacon, salt and pepper.
  • 5 Form into 4 patties.
  • 6 Heat a grill pan over medium high, fry burgers 5 minutes for medium and turn.
  • 7 Continue cooking for 3 minutes.
  • 8 Serve on buns with toppings of choice.
