This rich and creamy-smooth chocolate sauce makes a perfect topping for ice cream.

Why Try? Wouldn’t an ice cream sundae hit the spot right about now—no matter when “now” is?

Be sure to stir about every 30 seconds or so, so that the ganache will turn out velvety smooth.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Preparation

  • 1 Combine chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  • 2 When completely melted and smooth, transfer mixture to a measuring cup or other "pourable" container for pouring over ice cream.
  • 3 Best served warm but can also be served at room temperature.
