The perfect way to create a spooky punchbowl for Halloween. We left the blood-red punch non-alcoholic, made with our favorite autumn flavors.

If your guests want to add alcohol then they can, by way of the jello shot syringes! If you can get a commercial blackberry flavored simple syrup then, by all means, go for it, but just in case we have created a quick blackberry simple syrup to make the drink. You can leave out the ginger, or add more if you like.

Obviously, the amounts that you use depends on the number of guests and the size of the punch bowl. Happy Halloween!

For the Jello Shots

  • 1 pack jello
  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup vodka
  • Plastic syringes

For the Blackberry Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 lb. blackberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

For the Punch

  • 4 1/4 cup fresh apple and pear juice
  • Water, to taste

For the Fake Blood

  • Corn syrup
  • Water, to taste

For the Garnish

  • Assorted glass decals
  • 1 can lychees

For the Jello

  • 1 Add the boiling water, stir to melt.
  • 2 Add the cold water and the vodka.
  • 3 Stir and fill syringes. Place in the fridge to set.

For the Blackberry Simple Syrup

  • 1 Place the blackberries with the water and sugar in a pan. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • 2 Add the grated ginger, cover, and set aside to cool.
  • 3 Decorate glasses with glass Halloween decals.

To Make the Fake Blood

  • 1 Add red food gel to corn syrup and stir.
  • 2 On greaseproof paper, draw around the glasses. Use this to drop the red syrup in a circle.
  • 3 Dip the glasses, rim down, in the syrup and then turn upright again.
  • 4 Drain the lychees and press a blackberry into each one.

For the Punch

  • 1 Mix the cooled cordial with the fresh juice. Add water to taste.
  • 2 Assemble the punch bowl with the punch and the lychee eyeballs.
  • 3 Ladle out the punch, and add jello syringes for those who want.
