If you don’t like the high price of roasted red peppers, see how easy it is to do yourself.

You can do as many or as few as you want.


  • Fresh red pepper


  • 1 Place on an open flame or in a broiler.
  • 2 Char outside skin, carefully manipulating so that all parts are charred.
  • 3 To remove skin, place in a paper bag or in a bowl covered with plastic wrap.
  • 4 Let steam approx. 10 minutes or until cool enough to handle.
  • 5 Peel off skin and remove core.
