This frosty, sparkling cocktail is infused with a little heat, so it’s sure to warm arriving guests. For a little more heat, add a splash of pepper-flavored vodka.

- 1.5 ounces chilled vodka
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
- 1/2 teaspoon raspberry flavored liqueur
- 3 or 4 black peppercorns
- 1 ounce soda water
- 1 small fresh mint sprig
- 1 In a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, combine the vodka, cranberry juice and raspberry liqueur. Cover tightly and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
- 2 Put the peppercorns in a chilled tall Champagne tumbler or cocktail glass and pour the cocktail into the glass. Top off with soda water, garnish with the mint sprig and serve. Serves 1.
