Alternate Day Fasting Gains Popularity

The new Alternate Day Fast is catching on, even while scientists and nutritionists continue to debate its merits.

Diet today. Eat tomorrow. That’s the premise of the new Alternate Day Fast – while you fast one day, you eat full meals the next day. While controversial, one side of the diet camp is saying that ADF is a manageable way to lose pounds; the other side says it’s not the long-term lifestyle change that is required to maintain a healthy weight.

Given the way diet trends usually go, however, odds are good that a significant number of people will try ADF. As in all good diets, you can start tomorrow.
