There’s a movement going on in restaurants in L.A. that may be something to watch: enhanced foods are popping up on menus, to go along with the national fixation on immunity boosting. The New York Times reports that restaurant menus in that city are, “marrying the broader commercial movement of ‘functional’ foods â€” those stuffed with heavy doses of vitamins and antioxidants â€” and a national fixation on immunity boosting.”
Another way to shield ourselves from the poisons of our environment? Perhaps; after all, California has been the first to lead the way in other food trends. Think vegan, raw, and organic.
