Have you ever received a birthday card from a King? Yes, Elvis counts. At least, he should if we’re going to get excited about a new line of greeting cards expected from Burger King.
The company has reportedly entered into a licensing agreement with Andrews McMeel Publishing to develop a line of branded BURGER KINGÂ® greeting cards featuring the Burger King icon. Six different greeting cards will be available beginning this summer.
“We’re always looking for clever ways for the King to surprise his fans,” said Russ Klein, president, global marketing, strategy and innovation, Burger King Corp. “Now special occasions will be even more memorable thanks to the King.”
In CultureWaves, we call this Brand Sanctuary – falling back on the brands with which you are familiar. In this case, though, I guess it depends on how you feel about “the King.” He’s enough of an icon, at least, to have his own mask (pictured, left).
