Munchies for Gamers

Looking to improve your video gaming skills? Then you may want to check into Gamer Grub.

Biosilo Foods, San Diego, is set to launch a line of snack foods targeted directly to video gamers. That’s a narrow target, yes, but gamers would be the first to admit they’re into snacks big time, especially during the fervent heat of gaming activities.

As described by Biosilo, Gamer Grub is designed to “boost core gaming systems, such as visual input, cognitive processing, signal transmission and muscle reflexes for maximum gaming performance.” Sounds kind of like steroids for gamer dudes whose chief object is to get to the highest level of Grand Theft Auto or win the Super Bowl of Madden Football.

The flavors—Action Pizza, Racing Wasabi, Strategy Chocolate and Sports PB&J—contain ingredients such as pizza cashews and pitas, mozzarella peanuts, wasabi peas, and chocolate raisins. Packaged in ergonomic canisters, Gamer Grub is also supposed to eliminate keyboard crumbs and greasy fingers. Expected launch date is early 2009.
