French’s recently held a popular national campaign entitled, â€˜Food Loves French’sÂ®.â€™ The company asked for people to submit their favorite â€˜Food Loves French’sâ€™ Love Stories.
The Judges Have Spoken
Jennifer Osborne, Senior Brand Manager, French’s, announced the winners in the â€˜Food Loves French’s Love Storyâ€™ contest where contestants were asked to describe in 200 words or less a love story depicting food’s love affair with French’s Mustard. In September, ten semi-finalists were selected and their entries posted to the French’s website. The public cast their votes online and selected one People’s Choice winner, Nancy Kevorkian of Florida. She will receive a $2,000 American Express Gift Check.
The French’s panel of judges also announced the Grand Prize winner, John Christensen of Washington State, who receives a $2,000 American Express Gift Check and the opportunity to have his entry animated and posted online. Eight semi-finalists will also receive $500 in American Express Gift Checks.
Using the latest computer generated illustration technology, Christensen’s original story will be converted to a webisode. His story highlights French’s love affair with the all-American hot dog and takes place in a stadium full of mustard fans. The love story features French’s as a Cassanova-type who appears on a TV talk show only to be confronted by all of his paramours at once. They include a hot dog, pretzel, hamburger, corned beef sandwich and fish fillet.
