The upscale burger will be made with Wagyu beef from Japanese Kobe cattle, and will be garnished with foie gras, rare blue cheese (in place of ketchup) and black truffles (standing in for mushrooms). Customers will still have the option of ordering the burger along with French fries and a soft drink.
Burger King will sell the top-dollar burger in affluent cities such as Kensington and Chelsea in London. Profits from sale of the burger are expected to go to charity.
