Romano’s Macaroni Grill has presented a check of more than $100,000 to the Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) as a result of its dessert promotion held earlier this year.
Throughout February and March, $1 from each sale of the new Three-Berry Tiramisu was set aside for the donation. The dessert features lemon cake layered with blackberry, raspberry and strawberry puree, sweet mascarpone and whipped cream, topped with strawberries and crushed almond biscotti.
“We are proud of this donation because it was a collective effort by both our Macaroni Grill team members and guests,” said Nancy Hampton, Vice President of Brand Strategy for Macaroni Grill. “Our restaurants have always taken pride in giving back and this is a great example of that continued commitment.”
“We are so grateful for our partnership with Macaroni Grill. They are dedicated to our cause and understand our mission of ending senior hunger. We look forward to the future of this relationship and thank them for all they do for our organization,” said Enid Borden, President and CEO of MOWAA.
