Chinese chain Panda Express has announced that it is introducing Beijing Beef to the menu at its more than 1,000 U.S. locations.

Beijing Beef features crispy strips of marinated beef, bell peppers and sliced onions wok-tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce that is made from scratch daily. Panda Express has implemented a training process across its restaurant system to ensure that all off its beef items have the same consistency and quality.

The new Beijing Beef will join Orange Chicken as the premier meat items on the Panda Express menu. The chain hasn’t introduced a new dish to its lineup in more than 20 years, since the launch of the Orange Chicken.

In conjunction with the new item launch, Panda Express also is launching its first ever comprehensive advertising campaign, including television commercials starring “panda bear buddies” named Eddie and Tom-Tom.
