Robotic Restaurant Does It All

By Cari Martens

It just may be the restaurant of the future – fully automated with no servers and no need to tip. It’s a robotic restaurant currently in operation in Germany.

The restaurant has long metal tracks that go through the dining rooms, running from the kitchen and down, sort of like a bobsled trail. The food goes down the trail in containers with wheels on them, all through the force of gravity.

While the service is automated, the cooking is still up to the chefs. As the report from the BBC says, “They haven’t found a way of automating the chef, just yet.”

And all you have to do is eat.
