The Sweet Smell of Sushi in a Cologne

Something smells fishy – or maybe not, with this new Sushi Cologne. It’s said to smell more like white rice and seaweed, with a hint of ginger and lemon. Would you try it?

Our need for Sensory Appeal says you just might, simply because the scent may remind you of a great experience around the sushi bar. This cologne, from Demeter is meant to replicate that experience and waft you back in time.

According to their own PR, “Everyone has a personal library of meaningful smells. The memories they trigger are somehow more intense than those we dredge up by conscious effort. It’s as if smell provides a shortcut to our deepest memories and brings them back complete with the emotions and sensations we felt at the time.”

So, dab some on and see where it takes you. And, if you end up at a sushi bar, I recommend the soft shell crab!
