It’s never too early in the day to enjoy a dose of chocolate, and Barbara Passino’s new recipe book Chocolate for Breakfast: The Cookbook, Oak Knoll Inn, Napa Valley
indulges those morning chocolate cravings and provides a wealth of chocolate concoctions just in time for Valentine’s Day.

With over 100 easy-to-follow recipes, Chocolate for Breakfast: The Cookbook, Oak Knoll Inn, Napa Valley
offers several enticing chocolate menus, including a chapter entitled, “Valentine’s Day Decadence.” The menus are perfect for creating that unique meal on February 14 or for any other special occasion . . . or if you just want to indulge in a decadent chocolate-infused breakfast.

Some of the Valentine’s Day-themed recipes include:

  • I Give You My Heart, a chocolate-banana ice cream heart with raspberry sorbet;
  • Table for Two, chocolate fondue on an orange zest pound cake; and
  • Finale, a chocolate box.

The recipes are very thorough and are organized into a variety of chapters, making it easy to find just the right treat.

The 250 gorgeous photographs in the book, taken by internationally renowned photographer Marc Hoberman, showcase the variety of chocolaty recipes, each with cultural influences from around the world. Also included is a list of resources to find all the necessary ingredients to create the recipes. Here are a few we selected to share:

Chocolate Tacos

Blood Orange Soup

Chocolate Madeleine Spoons
