While others eat bacon, it’s Ramen noodles for Lent.

What are you giving up for Lent? Christen Nehmer, videographer for The Food Channel, is giving us her experience in going meatless. Follow along throughout the 40 days of Lent.

Day Eight:

First week down and another temptation today in the studio. You won’t believe this. Remember when I talked about the candied bacon? Well, today I walk into the studio and they are shooting BACON ICE CREAM. COME ON.

Wait until you see the picture that goes with that. Wow. (Readers of this blog get a sneak peek, below).

Some other people here at The Food Channel gave up meat for Lent as well, and one of the assistants was telling me that when the bacon ice cream was brought in, the photographer went for a bite. And she (the assistant) had to elbow him and remind him that he can’t have that right now.

Then, today at a meeting, my editor was enjoying a taste test of a Big Mac Snack Wrap and offered me a bite. She immediately went, ‘Oh, right,’ and laughed. AGH.

Breakfast: Oatmeal Hazelnut Latté
Lunch: Ramen Noodles
Dinner: Spicy Tuna roll and a shrimp tempura roll from Ocean Zen
