What are you giving up for Lent? Christen Nehmer, videographer for The Food Channel, is giving us her experience in going meatless. Follow along throughout the 40 days of Lent.

Day 42:

Today for lunch I had a tuna steak sandwich with a spicy mayo dressing. Oh wow, it was delicious! I’m always nervous to order tuna steak here especially at a bar and grill establishment, but wow. The tuna was juicy and had great flavor and that spicy mayo, a-ma-zing. I will totally eat that again.

Now dinner…Ocean Zen is a local hot spot and they have some of the best sushi. I ordered two rolls: the Tsunami Thaifoon Roll and the South Beach Roll. HEAVEN. The Thaifoon roll has shrimp tempura, yellow fin ahi tuna, crab, avocado, cream cheese and a spicy Thai peanut sauce…that one I’ve had before, now the other one…it was my first experience. The South Beach Roll has wasabi cured salmon, cream cheese, avocado, lightly tempura battered and a cucumber-mango gazpacho. So if you go to Ocean Zen, try one of these…you won’t regret it!

Breakfast: Banana and oatmeal
Lunch: Tuna Steak Sandwich from Indigo Joe’s w/side salad
Dinner: Sushi from Ocean Zen
